Scottish city to emulate Grameen bank model

We were told by a City lawyer that we will never get the Grameen UK license. But Glasgow does it!

The Glasgow Caledonian University authorities and Dr. Yunus signed a deal to replicate the Grameen Bank model in Glasgow to help reduce poverty in the Scottish city!… More here.

    The net and web will help you best! In the UK, the model are ‘credit unions’. Grameen Bank is effectively a ‘credit union’, but combined with that model of forming small groups so that members can help each other.

    Credit unions are banks where people save together so that those who need credit can borrow. I.e. they do healthy, proper, responsible banking.
