Clinton on Yunus

It is clear that people with wide experience understand how fighting poverty in Bangladesh has direct lessons for all of us. And it comes down to commitment, way of doing it and scale.

  1. Bill Clinton is always keen on Dr. Yunus, micro-credit and the changes it is bringing to Bangladesh and its scope for the world and USA.

    He introduces micro-credit in Ankarasas while he was Governor there and approved national loan program modeled on the Grameen Bank while he was at the White House.
    He acknowledged in his memoir (2004) ‘Muhammad Yunus should have been awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics years ago’
